Tropicoir supplies professional growers with coco coir substrates that are consistent enough to plan a crop around, produced responsibly in Sri Lanka and delivered through our own offices in North America and the United Kingdom.
Who we are
A specialist coir supplier with local teams.
Tropicoir LLC is registered in California and serves growers, distributors and substrate manufacturers from offices in Gilroy, California; Stafford in the United Kingdom; and Scarborough, Ontario. Our products are sourced and processed in Sri Lanka, the origin that professional growers have long regarded as the benchmark for coir quality.
We work in one segment: coco coir for professional use. That focus lets us specify the raw material, control the processing and stand behind every parameter on the certificate of analysis - EC, pH, moisture, particle size and blend ratio.
Our customers range from greenhouse vegetable and berry growers to nurseries, hydroponic farms, licensed cannabis producers, potting-mix manufacturers and equestrian suppliers. Most of what we ship is made to their specification.

Origin
Why Sri Lankan coir.
Sri Lanka has processed coconut husk for export for well over a century, and its coir industry is organised around quality: government-backed standards, established testing laboratories and a workforce that understands the material. The island's mature, rain-fed coconut palms yield a pith with a long usable life, high water-holding capacity and a naturally lower salt load than coir from some other origins.
Tropicoir products are washed, screened and pressed in Sri Lanka, and every batch is tested for EC, pH and moisture before it is loaded. The results travel with the shipment on a certificate of analysis, and phytosanitary certification and fumigation are arranged on request.

What matters to a grower is what is actually in the container. Every Tropicoir shipment is tested and documented so you can check it against the specification you ordered.
Batch testing
EC, pH and moisture are measured on every production batch; particle-size distribution and blend ratio are checked against the order specification.
Certificate of analysis
Results travel with the shipment. Heavy-metal, pathogen and phytosanitary reports are available for markets that require them.
Locked specifications
Once a custom mix is agreed, it is documented and repeated on every subsequent order - the same substrate, season after season.

Samples or a trial pallet go to your site; we support the start-up and review the results with you.

The specification is locked and produced to order, with batch testing and a certificate of analysis.
